Photography
My passion for photography began during my freediving adventures in the Monterey Bay. Equipped with a GoPro and a profound fascination for nature, I immersed myself in the underwater realm. Over time, my photography skills advanced, yet my inspiration remained rooted in the wonders of the sea and the natural world.

In the summer of 2023, I embarked on my journey into digital art using my iPad and Adobe Fresco. Starting with black and white sketches, I gradually transitioned to experimenting with color and eventually dynamic brushes to emulate the texture of oil painting

Incontro di Cuori: Beatrice e l'Amore nel Primo Sonetto di Dante
Meeting of Hearts: Beatrice and Love in Dante's First Sonnet
Transporting us to 14th century Florence, this artwork vividly captures an iconic moment from Dante Alighieri’s La Vita Nuova. Within this scene, the enigmatic meeting between Beatrice and Love, as portrayed in Dante’s inaugural sonnet, unfolds. Love, personified and ethereal, materializes in the nocturnal hours, extending a heart ablaze with fervent flames. Against the backdrop of night’s veil, a cosmic connection unfurls.
Yet, the narrative deepens. Love’s presence, once luminous, dissolves into tearful obscurity. This poignant transformation stems from Beatrice’s overwhelmed trepidation-her heart and soul daunted by the magnitude of love’s manifestation. The profound symbolism resonates, echoing the intricate layers of Dante’s own turbulent relationship with her.
This artwork stands as a visual portal into the realm of emotions Dante wove through his poetic tapestry. The essence of their meeting is encapsulated within the interplay of hues and imagery, each element an ode to their intricate connection. Every detail weaves together to form a narrative tapestry that reflects the depth and complexity of their encounter. It invites the viewer to ponder upon the intricate dichotomies of love, fear, and the enigmatic forces that shape our human experience.

Traditional Canvases
The winter quarter marks my initial venture into traditional mediums, whether charcoal or paints. While I did participate in a 5-week summer art class, my exposure to art has been confined to these brief periods - 5 weeks in summer and 10 weeks in the winter quarter. Nevertheless, I'm immensely satisfied with my progress thus far, and my journey of learning from Winslow Homer is far from over.
